Who We Are
The Kenya Public Infrastructure Authority (KPIA) is a State Corporation established under the Kenya Infrastructure Act, 2007, responsible for the implementation of key public infrastructure projects.
The mandate operates in key sectors such as roads and bridges, health , education ,Clean water and Energy . Additionally, the Authority provides advisory services to the government on matters related to public infrastructure development, including strategic infrastructure planning and implementation across various sectors.

Our Mission
The Kenya Public Infrastructure Authority (KPIA) is dedicated to the efficient and sustainable implementation, of national public infrastructure. By executing infrastructure projects to the highest standards, KPIA plays a key role in fostering economic growth, improving the quality of life for citizens, and enhancing the nation’s overall competitiveness.
This, which is enshrined in the KPIA Act, means that KPIA shall construct and maintain public infrastructures to the set standards and at the lowest possible cost without compromising the quality of its products and services to ensure public satisfaction of all citizens

Our Mandate and Functions
KPIA was established to oversee the efficient and effective implementation of national public infrastructure projects and to provide advisory services to the government. The key functions of the Authority are as follows:
To enter into agreements or arrangements with individuals, organizations, or entities for the provision of public infrastructure services, subject to agreed terms and charges.
To collaborate with international organizations, intergovernmental agencies, other states, and the private sector on matters related to the development, maintenance, and sustainability of public infrastructure.
To contribute to and lead the integration of infrastructure concerns into national planning by coordinating with relevant ministries, departments, and government agencies.
To oversee the management and development of national public infrastructure, ensuring its sustainability and quality.
To advise the government on infrastructure policy matters and assist in coordinating and implementing these policies.
To offer guidance and support to the President and relevant ministers, as required, in accordance with agreed terms.
